Crusaders, did you bring your appetite? MWHS students’ in Mrs. Pirraglia, Mrs. Rickli and Mrs. Lee’s, Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) and Life Skills classes teamed up for yet another incredible cooking competition. While learning about career opportunities as a Culinary Specialist in the U.S. Army, they also practiced the craft of commanding a kitchen.
Judged by Superintendent Norman and MWHS faculty and staff, this College Culinary Creations and International Foods cook-off, took students' culinary creations to the next level.
The delectable menu included:
👏Goat cheese crostini with pear, bacon, jalapeno and caramelized onion compote
👏Creamy orzo with lobster and asparagus topped with flank steak and chimichurri
👏Garlic bread with mac and cheese
👏Chocolate sponge cake with mascarpone buttercream with whipped cream and fresh berries👏Homemade vanilla ice cream with strawberry toppings…to name a few!
