students standing in front of a tree

Thank you to the Smith Clove students and teachers, the NYS Urban Forestry Council and the Village of Woodbury who recently planted a tree to help beautify the property in front of the school. With small hands on shovels, the students planted deep roots that will be their legacy for years to come.

Led by Dr. Anne Wibiaralske from the Orange Environment/Hudson Valley Pollinator Project and supported by the Climate Smart Community Task Force, our Crusaders learned about this NYS native tree and how trees, like students, grow strong when they are nurtured.
