summer school information

Dear Families,

Our Monroe-Woodbury Summer School program begins on Monday, July 7, 2025.

Please review the important information below as we prepare for the start of the session:

1. Summer School Calendar

  • Start Date: Monday, July 7, 2025

  • Midpoint: Thursday, July 24, 2025

  • Final Exams: Wednesday, August 13 & Thursday, August 14

  • Regents Exams: Tuesday, August 19 & Wednesday, August 20

  • Graduation: Thursday, August 21, 2025

Day 1 Procedure:

Students with a 1st-period class should report to the Large Cafeteria for a brief orientation. Students with only 2nd and/or 3rd-period classes can pick up their schedules (if needed) in the Summer School Main Office (located in Classroom 205b on B Floor).

2. Student Schedules

Schedules will be available in PowerSchool starting Thursday, July 3, 2025, under the "MWSS" tab in the "Grades & Attendance" section.

Schedule Notations:

  • P.1, P.2, P.3 = Periods 1–3

  • S1, S2 = Independent Study sessions (1:10–2:10 p.m. on designated days)

  • T1, T2 = Regents Exams Only (T1 = 1st AM exam, T2 = 2nd AM exam)

  • Earth Science Practical: Thursday, August 7, 2025 (during the school day)

Daily Schedule:

  • Period 1: 7:30 a.m. – 9:20 a.m.

  • Period 2: 9:23 a.m. – 11:13 a.m.

  • Period 3: 11:16 a.m. – 1:06 p.m.

*Note: Out-of-district students enrolled in a Regents-bearing course will be automatically registered for the corresponding exam.

Regents Review Sessions will be offered during the summer, more information to follow in the coming weeks.

3. Classroom Locations

All summer school classes will be held on C Floor (300-level classrooms).

4. Program Guidelines

Parents and students should review our Summer School Program Guidelines, Regulations, and Procedures, available on the Monroe-Woodbury High School website.

5. Transportation

Transportation is not provided. Students should arrive prior to their first class and be picked up promptly after their last class of the day.

6. Food Service

Hot food will be available for purchase during the Period 2 break. Food must be consumed in designated dining areas only. Food will not be permitted in the classrooms.

7. Out-of-District Students

May bring a district-issued device and hotspot/mifi for internet access. Must provide a photo ID and complete the Summer Health History Questionnaire before attending.
