five apples with red text

Did you know New York produces about 30 million bushels of apples annually? How ‘bout them apples! During lunch today, Crusaders from Central Valley, North Main and Pine Tree joined in the Big Apple Crunch–a statewide celebration of New York’s favorite fruit.

In partnership with the FarmOn! Foundation, students received samples of five different kinds of apples: Granny Smith, Red, Golden, Gala and Fuji. At CVE students even turned it into a mini-taste test, ranking each sample from sweet to most tart, and the reactions were as diverse as the flavors!

What a sweet reminder that learning can be both fun and delicious!
