Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) is off to a great start this school year. Three Monroe-Woodbury students serve as officers on the SADD NYS Student Leadership Council: Samantha Berrio, Daniela Gunning, and Julianna Fini. Samantha represented M-W this summer at the National Leadership Summit at Georgia State University.

During Red Ribbon Week and National Teen Driver Safety Week, SADD partnered with the Alcohol and Drug Awareness Council of Orange County to host table events during lunch periods and play games prompting students to answer questions about teen driver safety. In addition, members created an M-W GOES RED sign at the front entrance to the high school and recorded segments for the Morning Show to remind their peers to stay drug free.

Great job, SADD members, for continuing to empower and engage peers in positive behavior!
