Monroe-Woodbury High School defines the 6 C’s (core school values) as:
Crusader: Demonstrates perseverance and responsibility. Shows resilience, solves problems, takes initiative, and is willing to learn, grow and overcome challenges.
Creative: Thinks outside the box. Shows originality, curiosity, and resourcefulness while trying new ideas, taking thoughtful risks and approaching problems in innovative ways.
Collaborator: Works well with others. Listens to different perspectives, treats peers fairly, shares responsibility and contributes positively to group work and the classroom community.
Communicator: Expresses ideas clearly and respectfully with peers and adults. Listens actively, participates thoughtfully and communicates with patience and respect.
Citizenship/Community Member: Contributes positively to the school community by demonstrating responsibility, cooperation and integrity while following school expectations.
Compassion/Care: Shows empathy, kindness and respect for others. Supports peers and helps create a welcoming and inclusive school environment.
By making responsible choices, demonstrating kindness, and contributing to a safe and supportive school community, these students exemplify what it means to be positive role models. They are nominated by teachers and selected by a committee after careful review.
Well done, Crusaders!
