Prasad Saha - Valedictorian
College: Stony Brook University
Major: Computer Science
Highlights of your HS Years: Going on overnight trips for things such as music, All-State, or FBLA was a great way to spend time with my friends and meet others similar to me. Additionally, my experience with the music department in general has been overwhelmingly positive and a nice way to enjoy myself.
Favorite HS Memory: Playing the Jig 2 solo at Pep Rally with Drumline this year. It was exhilarating seeing the result of my hard work with screaming crowds and a bunch of positive comments from months afterward from a wide array of people.
Advice for younger students: Focus on what you enjoy, not what someone else said you should do; that will help you keep your sanity even if you have a lot on your plate. Always be open to meeting new people; our school is friendly, they won’t bite. And finally, know that high school goes by quickly, and don’t take it for granted.
What does being a Monroe-Woodbury Crusader mean to you?: Being a Monroe-Woodbury Crusader gives me the courage to pursue new relationships and constantly expand my network. The people at Monroe-Woodbury are some of the best there are, and I'm glad to have been a part of this community.

What does being a Monroe-Woodbury Crusader mean to you?: To me, being a Monroe-Woodbury Crusader signifies trusting both others and yourself. The bonds I've shared here have given me plenty of hope in humanity, and they have also taught me self-confidence by reflecting that back inward. I think our sense of community is really what defines us.
