Dear Families,

Our Monroe-Woodbury Summer School Program begins on Monday, July 6, 2026. Please review the important information below as we prepare for the start of the session.

Summer School Guidelines, Regulations, and Procedures:

Please review the complete Summer School Guidelines, Regulations, and Procedures before the start of the program. The document contains important information regarding attendance, technology use, student conduct, transportation, grading, and program expectations. Families are encouraged to click the hyperlink above to review the document carefully before the first day of Summer School. 

Day 1 Procedures:

Students with a Period 1 class should report directly to the Large Cafeteria for a brief orientation.

Students enrolled only in Period 2 and/or Period 3 may report to the Summer School Main Office (Library) if they need assistance locating their schedule or classroom.

1. Summer School Calendar

  • Start Date: Monday, July 6, 2026

  • Midpoint: Thursday, July 23, 2026

  • Final Exams: Wednesday, August 12 & Thursday, August 13, 2026

  • Regents Exams: Tuesday, August 18 & Wednesday, August 19, 2026

  • Graduation: Thursday, August 20, 2026

2. Student Schedules

Schedules will be available in PowerSchool beginning Thursday, July 2, 2026, under the "MWSS" tab in the Grades & Attendance section.

Schedule Notations:

  • P.1, P.2, P.3 = Periods 1–3

  • S1, S2 = Independent Study Sessions (1:10–2:10 p.m. on designated days)

  • T1, T2 = Regents Exams Only

    • T1 = First Morning Regents Exam (7:30 a.m.)

    • T2 = Second Regents Exam (11:30 a.m.)

Daily Schedule:

  • Period 1: 7:30 a.m. – 9:20 a.m.

  • Period 2: 9:23 a.m. – 11:13 a.m.

  • Period 3: 11:16 a.m. – 1:06 p.m.

Please note: Students enrolled in a Regents-bearing course will automatically be registered for the corresponding Regents Examination.

Regents Review Sessions will be available during the final week of the Summer School program. Please see the Summer School Guidelines for registration and enrollment procedures.

3. Classroom Locations

All summer school classes will begin on C Floor (300-level classrooms) and transition after three weeks to B Floor (200-level classrooms) for custodial building maintenance. 

4. Technology Expectations

To support Monroe-Woodbury's distraction-free learning initiative, internet-enabled personal devices, including cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, tablets, and similar devices, must be secured during the school day.

  • Monroe-Woodbury students will be required to use their district-issued Yondr pouches throughout the Summer School program.

  • Out-of-district students will be issued a Monroe-Woodbury Yondr pouch at the start of Summer School and must return it on their final day.

District-issued Chromebooks may be used for instructional purposes as directed by teachers.

5. Transportation

Transportation is not provided. Students should arrive before their first scheduled class and be picked up promptly following their final class of the day.

6. Food Service

Free hot meals will be available during the Period 2 break. Food must be consumed in designated dining areas and may not be taken into classrooms.

7. Attendance Expectations

Summer School attendance is critical to student success. Students who exceed four (4) absences may be removed from their course and lose the opportunity to earn credit. Families are encouraged to review the attendance guidelines carefully.

8. Out-of-District Students

  • Out-of-district students will be issued a Monroe-Woodbury Yondr pouch at the start of the Summer School Program and must return it on their final day of attendance.

  • Students may bring their school district-issued Chromebook and connect to the Monroe-Woodbury Summer School Wi-Fi network.

  • Students should bring their Chromebook fully charged each day.

  • Students must provide a valid photo ID and complete the Summer Health History Questionnaire before attending.

  • Students should ensure that all required registration paperwork has been submitted prior to the start of the program.
