Award for Teaching Excellence recipient photo

Smith Clove's special education teacher Deana Armstrong has received the 2022 Teaching Excellence Award from the Mid-Hudson School Study Council. The recognition is in tribute to outstanding service in the field of educational instruction.

Sponsored by the Mid-Hudson School Study Council, this annual award recognizes teachers who have demonstrated excellence in achieving the educational mission at their districts. Mrs. Armstrong, along with fellow recipients throughout the Hudson Valley, will be honored at an awards ceremony in May.

“Mrs. Armstrong is an exemplary and exceptional teacher.  We are proud of her accomplishments, both in the classroom and throughout the school community.  She constantly advocates for the needs of her students and families and her classroom is a warm and welcoming home to all.  Smith Clove Elementary School is a better place because of Mrs. Armstrong,” said Nicole Cook, Smith Clove Assistant Principal.

Congratulations, Mrs. Armstrong, on this well deserved honor!
