Dear Monroe-Woodbury High School students, parents and guardians,

Recently the school district notified high school families that, due to the administration of the Regents Exam in United States History and Government, only MWHS juniors would be attending school on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. This morning, the New York State Education Department (NYSED) announced that this examination has been canceled.

As a result, Wednesday, June 1, will now be a full school day for ALL Monroe-Woodbury High School students. All students are expected to attend their regular classes in-person at the high school.

The district awaits further guidance for students who are diagnosed with COVID-19 and are scheduled to take in-person Regents exams. In addition, we will soon share more details about changes in the appeals process of Regents Examination Scores to Satisfy Diploma Requirements, recently released by NYSED.

Please check your email in the upcoming days as we will be sharing more information.

Thank you for your understanding.

Warm regards,

Elsie Rodriguez
Superintendent of Schools
