Superintendent message

June 24,  2022

Dear Monroe-Woodbury families,

As we prepare to celebrate our soon-to-be graduates this evening, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of our Monroe-Woodbury families for your support and partnership during this school year. It has not always been a straight and easy path, but we have traveled this road together and our students have learned, laughed and grown. We have done it with hope in our hearts and determination in our steps.

Thank you for doing your part in helping us maintain in-person instruction and for supporting our instructional staff during this uncertain time.

The administrative team will be working hard during the summer months to plan and prepare for our students’ return in the fall, with a heightened focus on school safety. This issue continues to be a critical topic on a national level and we will assess, implement and plan for initiatives that enhance our safety protocols in all buildings.

We are committed to creating a school culture based on mutual respect, caring and compassion, and to providing a learning environment that supports our students, their families and our staff. This is at the heart of the work we do.

Enjoy your summer break with your loved ones. Cherish every little moment as this is how memories are made. See you in September!

Warm regards,

Elsie Rodriguez
Superintendent of Schools
