Monroe-Woodbury's Director of Transportation Dawn Russell was named "2022 NYS School Bus Driver Instructor of the Year" at the annual conference of the New York Association for Pupil Transportation (NYAPT). This NYS Education Department award recognizes an individual who has made "significant contributions to New York’s school transportation safety program, which have enhanced school bus safety in New York." Russell was selected from among her colleagues throughout the state.
"Being recognized as an industry leader and professional school bus safety ambassador is a great honor. Thank you for your continued support of professional growth and for your confidence in my ability to oversee safe and efficient transportation for the children we serve," said Russell.
