Monroe-Woodbury High School’s Megan Rivelli was among the educators honored at the Awards Luncheon held during the 71st Annual NY State English Council Conference in Albany. Ms. Rivelli, who teaches 10th grade, was nominated by English Department Chair Michelle Bulla for her enthusiastic engagement with her students, her willingness to innovate and her love of teaching and learning.
“Ms. Rivelli is unafraid to try new things, eager to experiment, enticed by change and growth, and centers her readers and writers in her approach to her work. I can’t think of a better way to walk into a classroom each day. I thank her for all she is and does for her students, her colleagues, and our department; we are better humans and educators as a result of her light! “
