My Story Matters graphic for English department

The Monroe-Woodbury English department with the entire student body commemorated the 14th annual National Day of Writing with this year’s Living INK exhibit: My Story Matters. We celebrated the varied forms of writing we do and the endless reasons we write by inviting each student to contribute an anonymous, true story.

The narratives were gathered in the wrestling room with the help of our Interact Club, and all students had the opportunity to read, experience, and reflect on the stories during their English classes. It was a beautiful revelation of the many voices that comprise the heart of Monroe-Woodbury. The stories will be archived and retained in the Library for future reading by students.
