REMINDER: All Monroe-Woodbury schools will be closed on Tuesday, May 20, for a Superintendent's Conference Day. The annual school district budget vote will also take place on this day in person at Central Valley Elementary School from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m.

CVE students in Ms. Eckert’s art class took advantage of last week’s brief sunshine and created art outdoors. Inspired by earth artist Andy Goldsworthy, students collected natural materials from around the building. They were encouraged to make a design with radial symmetry but were allowed to make anything as the inspiration struck them. What a great way to enjoy nature! 🌼

Mark your calendars! As a result of unused inclement weather days, all Monroe-Woodbury schools and offices will be closed for students and staff on Friday, May 23, 2025. Out-of-district students will be transported on May 23 if their programs are open. As planned, the school district will be closed on Monday, May 26, in honor of Memorial Day and we will welcome students back to the buildings on Tuesday, May 27. 💜

Fifth graders at Central Valley were treated to a special presentation about anti-bullying. MWHS Students Teachers Advocacy and Resilience Skills (STARS) club members spoke with younger Crusaders about the importance of being kind and respectful to their peers. The MWHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter will be hosting its annual blood drive on Friday, March 14. We're just 62 donations away from reaching a milestone of 5,000 donations through our drives. Since each pint can save 3 lives, our Crusaders have already helped save over 15,000 lives! The computer club at CVE is the place to be! Led by Mr. Krill, fourth and fifth graders learn all about the different roles involved in producing a short video. Students are grouped together to develop scripts for commercials, prepare weather reports and perform mock interviews with their peers. These young Crusaders are embracing this incredible opportunity with great enthusiasm!🎥🎤🎬
