Captain Stephanie Dudgeon recently returned home to present a special flag and certificate of authenticity to Army Veteran and MWMS Principal Rafael Vasquez, Jr.
The flag holds meaningful significance for both leaders. Prior to Capt. Dudgeon's deployment to the Middle East for Operation Epic Fury in 2026, Mr. Vasquez presented the flag to her. During her deployment, it flew onboard an AH-64D Apache attack helicopter while she served as Pilot in Command. Today, the returned flag is proudly on display in Mr. Vasquez's office.
Commissioned in 2021, Capt. Dudgeon is also the daughter of MWMS Assistant Principal Gina Dudgeon.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Spc. Vasquez, Capt. Dudgeon, and all active service members and veterans for their service! 🇺🇸

Reminder: All M-W schools and offices will be closed on Friday, September 11 in observance of Rosh Hashanah.

With school back in session, it’s a great time to introduce and reinforce bus safety. During these first few weeks, the M-W Transportation Department will review key safety rules and procedures, including buckling seatbelts, locating fire extinguishers and emergency exits, as well as ensuring students exit the bus after the driver gives the all clear.
A reminder for all other drivers on the road: you are required to come to a complete STOP from either direction whenever approaching a school bus with its red lights flashing and stop-arm extended. Let's work together to protect our Crusaders on their daily commutes to and from school! 🛑
