Superintendent Budget Recommendation, Board Adopts Budget - April 18, 2024
Superintendent Budget Recommendation
At a Special Meeting of the MWCSD Board of Education on April 18, 2024, Superintendent Rodriguez presented her recommendation for the 2024-2025 School Budget.. The proposed budget of $223,614,319 requires a 1.78 percent increase in the district's School Tax Levy, well below the maximum levy of 5.03 percent. This marks the fifth consecutive year the District has presented a budget that has a tax levy below the maximum allowable limit.
Following the presentation, the Trustees of the Board of Education unanimously adopted the recommended Budget for the 2024-2025 school year.
Public Budget Hearing
A Public Budget Hearing will be held on Wednesday, May 8, at the Education Center in Central Valley. Members of the M-W community are invited to comment on the recommended budget at that meeting.
Crusader Chat - submit questions via online form by May 7
A budget-related Crusader Chat will be recorded and released to the community on Wednesday, May 15. Community members are encouraged to share budget-related questions they would like answered during the Chat by completing the online budget-related question submission form. Please submit questions by May 7. If only a few questions are submitted via the online form, District leaders will address the questions during the Public Hearing on May 8, in lieu of a Crusader Chat.
The annual budget vote will be held on Tuesday, May21, at Central Valley Elementary School between the hours of 6 am and 9 pm.
