On Saturday, Nov. 23, M-W Boys Cross Country won their 3rd consecutive Federation State Championship. The federation race brings together the best teams from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA), the Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA), the NY City Public School Athletic League (PSAL), and the Association of Independent Schools (AIS) for a true state championship competition. Congratulations to our Crusader racers, seniors Shane Golio, Gavin Catherwood, Ronaldo Rodriguez Perez, Devon Ryan, and juniors Krzysztof Balbuena Matusiak and Tylan Haag. ⭐️💪👟 #crusaderpride #mwfam

Forget the turkey! The Everyday Friends club celebrated Friendsgiving their way! Students painted, made slime, sang karaoke and even competed in Ultimate Dance Party! Members of the Everyday Friends club enhance social and life skills, while having fun and forming lifelong friendships. 🎉😁

On November 6, Monroe-Woodbury’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter welcomed new members and inducted officers for the 2024-25 school year. FBLA is a student organization that aims to help students develop business and career skills, as well as promote civic and personal responsibility. Best wishes to the inductees and officers! ⭐️👏📈

The Alcohol and Drug Awareness Council of Orange County (ADAC) and POW’R Against Tobacco combined efforts to educate MWMS students about the dangers of smoking and vaping. During lunch periods, the organizations joined students to celebrate the Great American Smoke-out, sharing valuable information about the harmful effects of tobacco and vaping on the body. The sessions also highlighted the predatory marketing tactics used by the tobacco industry to target young people. Students actively participated and earned prizes while learning how to make healthy choices. 🚭💪
