We continue our celebration of the M-W district family by showcasing some of the wonderful staff members who symbolize what it means to be a part of the #mwlegacy. This Legacy Spotlight is Jessica Rostawanik & Danielle Villmann. Thanks to The Quituizaca & Tenezaca Families for submitting their names and to Mrs. Rostawanik & Mrs. Villmann for making our district better every day.

Are you already thinking about fall athletics? Now is the time to prepare! Google Classrooms are set up for each of our fall teams, and that's a great place to start. Let's go Crusaders!!

Just a reminder that schools and offices will be closed on Monday. We will see everyone on Tuesday, June 20. Enjoy the long weekend!

Big two days of competition for our outdoor boys and girls track and field teams this weekend at state championships. Colin Gilstrap added to his indoor 3200m title with a D1 and Federation win in the 3200m AND he broke the school record! Kaylen Tenemille earned four medals, Collin Catherwood matched his winter finish with 6th place in the 3200m, and the boys relay team earned bronze in a very tight 4x800m relay. The top three teams were separated by only 3 seconds. Well done, Crusaders! Way to finish strong! ⭐️💪💜

Check out the progress our HS art students are making on the hallway mural. How cool! Almost done! 🎨🐠🦑🐙

WISHING GOOD LUCK AT STATES TO OUR CRUSADER TRACK & FIELD TEAMS! You've got this!

We missed one wonderful Pine Tree presenter during Celebration of Capabilities Week! Grade 2 students enjoyed James, "That Vitiligo Guy," who spoke about the importance of looking inside a person, instead of just at the outside. James developed an auto-immune condition called Vitiligo as an infant. It changed his face so much that he was bullied until he decided to smile at the world and love himself. He wrote two children's books about facing a challenge and being unafraid. Thank you, James, for such an important lesson!

To the amazing M-W Food Services Team, we send a message of gratitude. There are many reasons why you are such an important part of our school community! Here are just a few:
You work hard each day to provide students healthy, delicious meals.
You are patient, kind and hardworking.
You care about the well-being of our students and get to know them (and their favorite foods) by name.
You make mozzarella sticks!
Thank you for all that you do for our students. You are the recipe for happiness in our schools!😍🙏🍽

Our Senior Art Majors are making progress on a legacy project that will grace the halls of MWHS for many years to come. Students are creating a 12 foot by 8 foot mural - 3 panel triptych. They mural was designed for the large stairwell space on B floor south.
Students worked for two weeks designing the theme, the specific images and color scheme, sharing their rough sketches and merging their designs to create a final product that incorporates all of their creative ideas.
The final design is a tranquil scene that depicts earth, sea and sky with overlapping underwater creatures and floating planets. It's their own creative depiction of an imagined environment. We can't wait to see the final product!

REMINDER: All M-W schools and offices will be closed on Monday, May 29, in honor of Memorial Day. We remember those who sacrificed their lives while serving so that we can live in freedom. Today we honor our nation's heroes.

Here they are! Plans for the last weeks of school have just been published:. Visit https://www.mw.k12.ny.us/documents/end-of-year-student-schedules-june-2023/326581 for elementary, middle and high school schedules

The MWHS Drama Club Kids on the Block Troupe visited North Main, Central Valley, and Pine Tree today! Our talented students (James D., Gray J., Ashley C. and Sophia T., led by their student director, Kylie M.) engaged, entertained and educated 2nd and 3rd grade students and shared important messages of compassion and understanding. BRAVO!💜🥰
