Kids Changing the World club (KCW) completed their annual Hats for Hope drive. The club collected new, cozy hats and donated them to the Garnet Health Cancer Center. These hats are given out to cancer patients during the colder months, so those undergoing treatment can stay warm. Excellent work, Crusaders! 💜

It’s never too early to reach for the stars! MWHS STARS club shared experiences in goal setting with Ms. Dell-Webster’s sixth grade health class. Students were reminded: You can dream it, write it and achieve it! ✨

Congratulations to the three MWMS students recently named to the 2024-2025 New York State Band Directors' Association Honor Band! The NYSBDA Middle and High School Honor Bands will rehearse and perform in person at the annual NYSBDA Symposium in Syracuse in March. Bravo!⭐️🎶

SE received a special treat! Student BOE rep Dylan Escobar visited Mrs. Colbath’s kindergarten class. While reading “Our Class Is A Family,” Dylan emphasized family can mean different things including siblings, as well as classmates.
Thank you, Dylan, for spreading kindness to our smallest Crusaders!

Congratulations to our newest #causeforapplause recipient, Marci Blatt, aka, Mother Blatt!
Her connection with students and families is legendary; the students know how much she cares for them. The M-W community celebrates Mother Blatt's 37-year commitment to academic achievement and excellence!👏

MWMS hosted its second annual Capabilities Week, during which students learned about unique challenges people with disabilities may face. Students participated in different sensory activities and attended a special assembly by professional motivational speaker and former star wrestler, Rohan Murphy, who has overcome many challenges in life. Lessons learned this past week were impactful and meaningful to the MWMS school community.

Decorations, meal prep and social interactions were all on the menu during this beautiful Thanksgiving celebration at MWMS. The M-W community came together for this heartwarming annual event, that was more than just sharing a meal.

If you are considering attending a 2-year, community college after graduation, do not miss this chance to complete your application for free during your lunch period. Admissions Representatives from each school will answer questions, waive the application fee and help you submit your application. It is that easy!
Each CC offers something special...maybe a major that is not at the other two campuses (for example aviation or auto mechanic), maybe it's dorming and living on campus. Whatever it is, talk to the admissions reps and apply!
You can apply to more than one, but you CANNOT miss this opportunity!

Happy Friyay! During the second annual Capabilities Week at MWMS, students and faculty were treated to a special uplifting assembly by professional motivational speaker Rohan Murphy. Living life without legs, Rohan’s mantra is NO EXCUSES! Through his beaming smile and agility moving across the stage, Rohan demonstrated to the M-W community his greatest accomplishment in life. Rohan stated, “Despite people looking at me differently, I choose to be HAPPY!” Thank you Rohan, for embodying the Crusader spirit!

Giving back is what Monroe-Woodbury is all about! The Kids Changing the World club at MWHS collected and donated new and unwrapped toys to Town Hall in Monroe. These wonderful gifts will be donated directly to the Toys for Military Tots 2024 campaign, which benefits active and veteran military families in Orange County. Awesome job! 💜☺️🧸

The spirit of Thanksgiving continued at the annual Monroe-Woodbury Senior Center Thanksgiving celebration. The M-W Athletic Club served up a feast, while the seniors served up the dance moves! 💃🏻😄
