MWHS Business Law students recently visited the Orange County Courthouse in Goshen, where they gained firsthand insight into the daily work of the judicial system. Students observed trials and hearings and participated in an extensive question-and-answer session with Hon. Craig Stephen Brown and Hon. Hyun Chin Kim of the Orange County Supreme and County Court system.
The Business Law elective at MWHS explores how business law impacts individuals in their personal, family, and professional lives. Students develop a practical understanding of and respect for the laws that affect them at home and in the workplace. Topics of study include basic legal principles, civil and criminal law, contracts, consumer protection, insurance, wills and estates, and real and personal property.
